We’re ready for a massive change in scenery. From making our home in London’s now-famous postcode SW4, we’ve celebrated the capital’s illustrious music and culture for long enough that we’re now primed to take it overseas. Next March, we’re shipping everything great about London’s diverse and ample music scene to Val Thorens, for an entire week of apres parties, club events, brunch takeovers, igloo raves and more in the skiing epicentre of the French Alps.
Le Machu Pichu is a well-located, functional and contemporary residence that sits at the foot of the slopes in Val Thorens. The height of the snow-sure Val Thorens at 2,300m means great skiing all season, and a stay at le Machu Pichu even gives you doorstep skiing to make the most of it.
Simple, comfortable and super affordable, our standard accommodation has you and your wallet covered. Located in the lively centre of Val Thorens, this hotel is within a stone’s throw from the slopes. With epic mountain views, free wifi, and convenient kitchenettes with fully equipped cooking facilities, it’s a great location on a budget - ideal for those wanting to plunge straight into the action on arrival.
Just 100m from the central square, Le Gypaete is a dynamic, sporty resort at the highpoint of Trois Vallees and the highest resort in Europe - so you’re guaranteed some unrivalled views of the area. The building also has a nifty ski-in / ski-out option, whilst local shops are just 300m away, and the rooms are compact and practical and with kitchenettes, flatscreen TVs and kitted bathrooms. This one is perfect for the hard-core skiiers, plus it’s elevated location means you get a decent sleep before heading out each day.
Boasting an array of on-site activities, the Temples du Soleil has an exceptional setting in Le Trois Vallees - just 3 minutes from the centre of Val Thorens - and the facilities to match. For an additional cost you can enjoy the tennis courts, the Wellness Centre with its pool, sauna and whirlpools, plus there’s shops just next door should you need to pick up supplies. Make use of each room’s integrated kitchen (alongside the views and homely wooden interior), or if you fancy exploring, there’s bars, a restaurant and more just opposite.
Ski-in, ski-out: diving onto the slopes at short notice doesn’t get much easier than staying at Le Schuss. Situated in the quiet area of Val Thorens, every apartment has a balcony so that you can soak up your prime location in one of the high points of the area. With a rustic interior and charming features, Le Schuss is a favourite with those who are happy to keep things basic but are raring to get out each morning. The kitchenette and ski rentals are a great touch, whilst you can pay for cheap Wifi just by heading down into reception.

Should I get travel insurance?
We’d always recommend travellers take out travel insurance before any trip. As well as providing financial protection in case things go wrong during your trip, travel insurance will also mean that you have cancellation cover if you can’t go for certain reasons. For example, skiing holidays and ski hire cover are usually an additional inclusion.
